I think everyone has had to tighten the belt and not hit the water as much. With fuel here up to $2 a litre and using 80 -100 lt a trip it gets bloody expensive!!!

Most of our usual spots that produce reds were pretty quiet but the rankins were really on the bite and ended up getting 5 decent sized fish for the day, keeping a couple for a feed and releasing the others. Got some BIG estuary cod that ranged from 20kg class to unstoppables. Also got a massive Spaniard jigging the edge of a baitball in 55m. New PB for me we estimated between 35-40kg...
