A 912lb Bluefin Tuna landed with Bruce Bros. Charters.

Prince Edward Island, Canada.
PEI Bluefin Tuna fishing on the clear waters off the North shore of Prince Edward Island is a tuna fishing experience to be treasured for a lifetime. These giant bluefins concentrate off the homeport of our twin boats inchWhite Water inch and inchThe Tuna Clipper inch every summer and fall where anglers from around the world come to test themselves against the giant bluefin tuna, one of the fastest and most powerful fish in the sea. The Bruce Brothers have fishing in their blood and learned the tricks of catching the PEI bluefin tuna from their father, you could say they grew up on the water and have a combined 37 years experience as Captains of their own vessels.

The boats are typical of the safe and trusted design used by thousands of Island fishermen who make their livings from catching the lobster, crab, mackeral, cod and tuna that thrive in the cold, clean waters surrounding Prince Edward Island.

SalmonEye said: The Barkley Sound run of Chinook was forcasted to be the biggest Barkley Sound run in 20 years and is proving to be very consistent. There are quite a few spots along the shore that have been catching Chinook. The Coho have started to show up in good numbers in some places offshore, though most have been wild and we have been sticking where the larger Chinook are. We would guess fishing should stay good along the shore well into September, but it is always hard to predict the exact schedule of the Chinook. Both anchovies and 3.5 inch Coyote and 3 inch Silver Horde spoons have been working....

SalmonEye said: Fishing Report Ucluelet BC July 23, 2016 Chinook (King) salmon fishing has been very good the past few days and there are some good sized Chinook salmon being caught. The weather has also been very good this past week making a very happy customers. We have mostly been fishing the Starfish north. The Chinook are ranging from 12-30lbs for the most part. The Coho fishing has been fairly sparse, but we have been hooking a few nice coho. Halibut Halibut fishing has been steady and we have been getting halibut on most side trips from the salmon grounds and of course catching them when we are...

SalmonEye said: Fishing has been more of a roller coaster than we expected though most days have been successful. Bite times are happening early some days and some days later in the day. Experience and cunning have been necessary to still bring in good numbers on days when most boats have been slower. The good news is that most people are going home with good amounts of fish for their freezers and bites are getting more frequent. We have heard there are large numbers of fish just north of us so our bite frequency should be going up dramatically. I will say we are a little spoiled in that if we arenít limited ...
